... I am facing a severe dilemma. I am becoming more and more a person of science. I am less sensitive, with every day. I used to be on the darker side of someone who followed her intuition and believed more in things that did not meet the eye. Sounds better. Of course it does, but on the other hand I lost a few very important abilities. Most of all I do not write anymore. I simply put words together, that in the best case scenario fit somehow into a text. But it's nothing compared to what I was capable of years ago.

But years ago I did not have the same strength.

I am still slightly sick, my skin looks bad, my lips twice the normal size ( we all love us some Monica Bellucci, but enough is enough ), my nose as red as a communist's heart and my hair... well my Norwegian Pony back in Rosdorf would have mistaken it for straw. But we are newborn optimists and believe in the power of inner beauty that radiates within. Having said that I am starting to get nervous. Will we have a few sips of Jack on Saturday? Shall I go to the airport, put on a headscarf and glasses and pull a Jackie O. ?

As for now everyone asked (whether they wanted or not) for their valuable opinions, opted for going to the airport. Is somehow classier than meeting somewhere in the centre of Bergamo or at the trainstation ( I love Bergamo, and I am still convinced that all the magic began there, but we need to spread the word. And in order to do so, we need to move the epicentre to a different place. The Orio Al Serio Airport symbolizes an even greater accumulation of strong emotions or whatever. Whatever. Should. Go. There. Basta!).

So first call. We have some sort of plan. An idea.

There we go. Sometimes we need a longer wake up call. Sometimes it takes an effort, some longer period of time. Eventually we will make it. Whatever it takes, whatever rifle you own, you should never put it aside and walk away.

I hardly slept this night, of reasons I'd like to keep for myself ( the word stomache is involved however). Among all the disadvantages, there is also one reason to stay awake. When everyone is asleep. When you no noise at all. Nothing. Peace. Everything covered in darkness. I always imagined darkness as something that simply doesn't make a sound at all . Darkness without its complete and utter peace is no darkness. Hiding in the dark night I could allow my thoughts full bent and carry me wherever they just desired to take me. My thoughts and me, we arrived in a place I would have never thought about. And even though this place was everything but benign to me, I couldn't help to blanket some warm pang somewhere close to my heart. Why even so? After all, even in the worst world the human being would create something lovable. And when thinking about past, darker times, one would turn back to these times with a smile, thinking about the good sides. Isn't it just like that?

Apart from that, good morning! The good news is, November is ending!

I am sorry for missing in action, I just had to cope with my notebook dying and some other stuff. But this is at this very moment of no greater inportance. Poland re-elected for the first time after 89 the same government, and my very party ( I am a member of) has risen after one mere year (!!!!) to a fab third power. Words can't express what I am feeling right now. I already felt it this summer. Poland is undergoing some tremendous changes. I feel proud to be a part of this wonderful day.

Some countries however, seek to violate other country's peace and enter it. When the neuralgic moment has passed, burned houses ,bombed cities, death tolls leave a mark in the memory of each single country. Now you can hope time will heal all wounds, but sometimes it doesn't. People try to forget, but they can't. It is history that vouches for the truth of the fact, the passing time doesn't always make us forget certain things or at least make it easier for us to look at scars left as footprints in our own, personal story. Landed in Italy. I was so overstrained after my flight, that even the chaos that awaited me back in Pavia did not impress me at all ( all I can say is : I could not even get thru into my room ;-) ). I need to get used to the new life here, it may take some time. Meanwhile I have to read Beckett and Wilde and write a seminar paper, whose form and substance will be meager and make my lecturer cry. I have no idea about play writers, playwrights, drama, comedy, the Theatre of Absurd, the Theatre od Paradox or whatsoever. I managed to write an introduction however.

A heavy storm from the Alps is arriving. I am so grateful we had really awesome flying weather yesterday, since even the tiniest bump caused me to freak out on board. Yesterday I cried everywhere, before getting into the car, in the car, on the aiport, while boarding the plane, in the toilet, when I stumbled into it (bumps, bumps, buuumps). I was such a freak and such a comedian for the other passengers, that it made me cry even harder. I had to get a drink to relax for at least 10 minutes. I even got up and asked the stewardess for some awesome freaking pills. I think I am one of the biggest nightmares for every airline, since my behaviour tends to worsen with every single mile up in the sky. It doesn't make any sense at all. I love flying, hate it at the same time though.

Watched "The King's Speech" with Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush (and a shockingly different Helena Bonham Carter).

Absolutely overwhelming and what is more : the purest form of cinema with incredibly able and talented actors. If Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush both win Oscars they will be more than worthy winners and if they don't -then "best" has no meaning.

Highly recommend it (both of them for the Oscars thatis!!!!!).

Better late than never!

A few days ago (sounds better than ages ago) Marta nominated me to post some random facts about me. So finally here they are :

Here are the Seven Facts about Soncek!

1.Been a vegetarian for almost 13 years. It was one of the easiest things to do. I have never missed eating meat. Plus I simply couldn't bear it.

2. Now a shocking one : I hate chocolate! I really do. It makes me sick! I can only take white chocolate in small amounts.

3. I am addicted to news. Wherever I am, I need a source of the latest current affairs. I guess for this I am learning all these damn languages, because you never know where you land....

4. I love travelling like the majority of us. But I do also love travelling on maps and in my school atlas!In my head I have already planned routes for the next 20 years.

5. I am a football addict. I have a crush on football. When my team ( ACM) loses I am really upset. Every time there a game has to be decided by the sake of penalties I am a step closer to a heart attack. And I guess I have the predisposition to become a decent hooligan.

6. The first thing I do, once my slipped discs allow me to : Horse-ridding. The best thing under the sun.

I know all equestrian disciplines, from Western Riding, the Classic Style to Dressage.

7. No one believes I come from Poland/ Ukraine / whatever. The majority insists I am French or from the Balkans. I have no problems with that though.

I have been restless again, and I guess this very restlessness is being aggravated by the fact that I am currently sick. I have been feeling like walking in a circle for years now. Since I finally realized what the problem is, I still haven't found the perfect ( = one and only) solution. I do actually know, after some years, what I definately do NOT want, but do not know what I actually DO want. Plus being good in so many things , doesn't meant that these things are also good for you. Being surrounded by people, who seemingly are ambitious to the bone (= in reality that means, that they strip their very souls. And I am asking : How dare you? Please hide that chip on your shoulder somewhere, where I don't have to see it!), I am just tired of it and it makes the little focus I have turn around and concentrate on things, that should not really matter to me.

I really HATE (and I really hate to use that word, or generally to hate) over-ambitious people, whose only ambition is to seemingly have one. I hate people who have no immagination, visual power, are egoistic, speak Spanish all the time, who whine all the time, even though they are the luckiest ones, who make no effort, who do not know where Bosnia is, who split society according to their political views, who try to reproduce me ( seems funny, eh?!) / copy my life without having their own ideas. Oh and I hate you Y.! For your lack of courage!!

There is plenty more, but I am getting (finally tired..)

Yesterday we went out to watch the Spanish classic- Barcelona vs Real Madrid with some guys from Argentina, Mexico, Spain, Portugal, Turkey... After 2 minutes I hit the bar and received a drink from the barkeeper, who was an Interista, with a special dedication for me only. If you ignore the fact, that I hate Inter, this was pretty cute .

I am either very lucky or out of luck, as you want to see it. The truth is however, that I have some very fine flat mates ( if you ignore the one, who is always, but really always trying to drive me on the edge of a tantrum) . Anyways, as I stated before one post earlier, I was(or still am) something between overly-hangovered and death tired. And when I just thought it couldn’t get any worse ,One of my flat mates cooked my favorite dish!

What a genius!

P.S I love the view I have when sitting behind my desk. I can see more or less the whole city. And do you know what is even better than that?

-Seeing the sunset from behind my desk!

P.P.S I am studying Portuguese at the moment, since the girl who sleeps in my flat almost every night is Portuguese and her parents arrive tomorrow. In order to tell them what I think about it all, I need to learn some words by heart.

Thanks to Kim Jong Il (or his son, who knows?!) I am fully awake, despite having slept like nothing at all. It always takes some news like that to give me an incredible adrenaline shoot. Maybe I should re-consider journalism as a profession for myself ?

Anyways, there is so much happening right now, I should come to a rest. I need some quality time for me only. On the other hand though, you're young only once in your life. Maybe I will have more in some years, and maybe I won't have times like these later?

Meeting with my Tandem-Partner in 1,5 h and I am looking like death, who has some kind of facial hangover.

P.S My flatmate (the Spanish one of course) is playing on my nerves again. Gimme some bombs, Kim.

Dzięki Kim Jong Ilowi (albo jego synowi, kto tam ich wie?!) w chwili obecnej jestem świeżutka i pobudzona jak nigdy przedtem,mimo że snu miałam prawie , że nic. Wiadomości tego typu zawsze tak na mnie działają, dając mi niebotyczną dawkę adrenaliny. Może jednak powinnam jeszcze raz przemyśleć sprawę dziennikarstwa,eh?!

Poza tym marzę o czasie spędzonym samej ze sobą. Z drugiej strony zaś trochę mi szkoda. Może będę miała ku temu okazję za parę lat. Strach pomyśleć,że będzie inaczej za kilka lat. Eh.

Za 1,5 godziny spotykam się z moim Tandemem, a wyglądam jak śmierć, na twarzy maluję się kac. Uwielbiam to po prostu.

I hate wasting ...whatever. Time, money... I even hate the word, the sound of it! Yet I am the master and commander of it. My not so brilliant flatmate (the Spanish one) spoiled yesterday's eve with her not so brilliant behaviour ( in other words : Lack of intelligence ). This girl just drives me every single day on my patience' verge!

Apart from that yesterday was fun. Went out with the South-Americans, English, Germans and Italians. Believe it or not (mostly I have difficulties with it to be honest), there was only one single Spanish girl. After that we went to the University to support the protests and later back home to my place....which was crowded with Spaniards. Thanks, grazie....gracias. And that wouldn't be that bad, if my little Spanish flatmate wouldn't forget at 5 am, that her kissing and making out disturbs others ( turn off the fucking light next time!), mostly me (who had to get up earlier this morning) and my other flatmates, who go to work, to earn some fucking money.

I was afraid before, that she might be a little less clever than the average, but yesterday (and the days before ) just confirmed it for sure.

And now I am getting some coffee.
